It is with much sadness I announce that our founder member Stuart Williams passed way last week. He was a devoted member of the LAWMS and our members owe a lot to him regarding help, advice and his long service within the club.
Always a gentleman and respected by all he will be sadly missed.
The Funeral is at 2.30pm on Thursday 14th September at St Mary’s Church, Church Lane, Cubbington, CV32 7JT followed at 3.30pm at the cremation at Oakley Wood South Chapel and then back to 55 Kenilworth Road Cubbington CV32 7TW.
The Family have requested all communications go through Mike Price at this time. Instead of flowers there will be a collection box at the crematorium. We will also be making a collection at the club on Wednesday 6th September. Cheques should be made payable to SWFT Charitable Fund, who are a charity for cardiac care.
Congratulations to Elizabeth for winning this years competition. She is pictured here receiving the trophy from our President Mark Traversoni.
David took the double this year in our clubs close up competition and followed on the week after to win the Midlands Champion of Champions competition. David’s act was themed around making a cocktail where all the materials required, liquids, fruit, ice etc all appeared from nowhere!

Alan Cooper won this years stage competition and as well as the title and trophy he wins 2 tickets to our annual dinner.
Alan performed a mentalism act which had even the most experience members in the room scratching their heads how he did it!
The act featured some amazing mind reading and a routine that predicted lottery numbers ahead of them being selected by the audience.
Alan is pictured being presented with the trophy by President Mark Traversoni.
This years close up competition was hard fought with 8 competitors entering.
Frank came out a worthy winner with a very slick and well presented routine. The main pieces of his act were a coin routine where coins appeared and moved between two small boxes in an impossible way, and a very original dice and cup routine.
Frank now goes on to represent the club in the Midlands Champion of Champions competition.
Frank is pictured above with President Mark Traversoni presenting the trophy.
At the annual dinner George was awarded the Junior of the Year.
George has come on leaps and bounds this year and is a worthy winner.
